Aquarium Curved Scissors are designed for pruning of carpeting plants and plants/leaves growing close to the ground, at a HIGH ANGLE, meaning your hand/palm holding the scissors normally CANNOT get relatively close to the bottom of the aquarium either because the aquarium is tall or because you have other plants/hardscape in the way.
